Palette House Brush and Grid Size Guide
Use this as the pre-flight checklist before copying a numbered Tomodachi Life grid. The goal is a stable hand-copy setup: Pro-Artist Mode, a square brush, pixel-perfect strokes, and a grid size that matches how much detail you can finish.
Setup order
- Open 调色屋 in 专业画家模式 before copying the pattern.
- Choose a square brush and keep the brush size consistent for the whole design.
- Use pixel-perfect strokes: one cell in the reference should become one deliberate block in-game.
- Anchor the top-left cell first, then use the center cross and bold 4-cell guide lines to check drift.
- Fill large background regions before outlines, highlights, lettering, and small accents.
Grid size tradeoffs
| Grid | Best use | Copying note |
|---|---|---|
| 16x16 | Tiny icons, quick logos, and first tests | Fastest to copy; simplify hard edges aggressively. |
| 24x24 | Clothes marks, badges, and small room details | Good for simple shapes without making hand-copying slow. |
| 32x32 | Most custom items, posters, and character icons | Best default balance of detail, palette count, and copying time. |
| 48x48 | Portraits, posters, and detailed TV frames | Use focus blocks and copy by row so you do not lose position. |
| 64x64 | Advanced large references and logos | Slowest; export a numbered pattern and work in short sessions. |
