Tomodachi Life Interior Wallpaper Grid Planner
Use this plan when designing repeating interior patterns: wallpapers, floor textures, fabric prints, and background tiles that need to look seamless when tiled.
Workflow order
Follow these steps before exporting so the grid stays practical to copy by hand.
- Design with tiling in mind — edges must match opposite sides.
- Use 4–8 colors maximum for clean repeating textures.
- Start with a simple motif and repeat it across the grid.
- Use 32x32 for most wallpapers; 48x48 for complex patterns.
Cleanup checks
Use these checks after color matching and before the numbered export.
- Verify seamless tiling by previewing the pattern repeated 2x2.
- Check that no hard edges break the repeat at tile boundaries.
- Ensure the color count stays low for clean room-scale rendering.
